 For episode 18 we headed down to Jordan’s Farm in Cape Elizabeth. Penny Jordan and her siblings are the 4th generation of Jordan’s on the land, and Penny’s story is steeped in her history. It is this sense of history that makes them such powerful stewards of their farmland and community. They utilize only the most sustainable techniques, and donate time and food to many surrounding causes including the Good Shepherd Food Bank. For Penny and her family Jordan’s Farm is the center of the universe, a place of peace and tranquility. She is fiercely proud that she is part of a healthy and viable farm in a suburban neighborhood.
